BERNADINE STETZEL

 

Bernadine Stetzel was born and raised in Tiffin, Ohio and has been painting since the age of twelve. She is self taught and her work has both a personal and historical significance as she records in oils and watercolors, past and current events. These include outdoor scenes, events from her childhood days in Tiffin, Christmas scenes and portraits of children. Bowling Green State University presented a video documentary on the art of Bernadine. It was broadcast on PBS. The tape has also been shown throughout universities in the United States and abroad. Bernadine has also created a series of 71 oil paintings depicting the life of President John F. Kennedy that are in the permanent collection of Bowling Green State University. During the past few years Bernadine has had several very successful one woman shows in New York. She has also written and illustrated children's books with twenty four now completed.
