J.D. Sipe is a unique, award winning folk artist and one of the most sought after Blues musicians in New Mexico. There were no art classes in the school he attended through grade and high school, and his first formal introduction to art was in Jr. College, which he attended for about a year, and due to circumstances, was unable to complete. He lives with his wife and 7 reformed alley cats in a tough New Mexico neighborhood nicknamed "The War Zone". His work has been shown in exhibitions and galleries across the U.S. and has appeared in several magazines.
