Earl was born in 1956. Since childhood he knew that if he wanted something he would have to make it. First he made toys, the cars and trucks with which kids like to play. Now he makes large colorful trucks from found wood and metal that folk art collectors like to buy. He paints them in flat, rich colors. He also makes paint images of houses, motorcycles, fire trucks, cars and other forms onto cardboard, and then cuts them out. These were made originally for the purpose of decorating his rooms. Then visitors wanted to buy them, so he added these to his repertoire. His home in an art creation, a handmade art environment where he lives and produces his art. He built rooms including a store, museum, nightclub, disco booth and workshop.
