Rebekah Pruett was born in 1979 and grew up (and still
lives) in the Appalachian Mountains of southwestern
Virginia. From age 5 she lived on a dairy farm where she was
surrounded by animals and nature. As a young girl even
though she was very bashful she was also very creative and
realized she needed an outlet for her talent. Her family
recognized her skills and encouraged her to be artistic and
imaginative. By age 12 she started painting by looking
through gardening books and trying to copy the flowers she
saw. Over the years her style of painting evolved from
flowers into pictures of angels, nature and her rural
surroundings. The inspiration of her paintings comes
directly from her strong belief in God and her love of
nature and simplicity.
