JUDITH NIELSEN

Paint brushes and pencils were an extension of Judith's fingers when she was a child ... even winning the "BEST" at finger-painting in kindergarten! There was no question art work would play a large part in her life ... until she was thrown through a car windshield and left with permanent double vision ... suddenly any form of art was unlikely. Out of boredom and the wonderment of seeing two to four of everything she became fascinated with patterns in nature and how they intertwined with the human face. This became abundantly overwhelming to her when she moved to the countryside. She is extremely reclusive, but found herself one with her natural surroundings and all the patterns she encountered. She started working on goose eggs supplied by her neighbors geese ... then gourds, So far she works in black and white because the patterns are more outstanding. The faces are supplied by friends but the patterns just take off on their own. It is so much fun for Judith. She hopes people enjoy it as much as she does.
