Sandy Mastroni is a self taught artist whose work takes
us into a world of mermaids, parakeets and bizarre eggplant
head clowns. You can also find a lovely lady wearing a crazy
hat or holding her treasured cat. There is an odd balance of
mystery and lightness here. The sky can be green, a dog can
be cobalt blue and things become "curiouser and curiouser" .
She works in mixed media, pen and ink, clay and acrylics.
She spends her life in Connecticut with her husband and four
cats. Psalm 48:1. Sandy's work is in the permanent
collection of the Hurn Museum of Contemporary Folk Art.
