"Thank goodness for that knee injury" must have been what
Albert said as his hands pull creations from the spinning
wheel. Out of misfortune, Hodge was able to experience a
fulfillment of the grandest kind. Though he had never
touched a wheel or sculpted, Albert bought some supplies and
equipment and began his creative journey. Collectors come
from miles, across states, to see his work. His popular
signature style is the face jug, but he has unleashed his
creativity and began making "make-believes", fiendish faces,
and face people. Hodge's work is shown all over the country
and included in the permanent collection at the
Smithsonian.
