Born in 1962 in New Mexico to a mother of various
artistic inclinations and a father who enjoyed a career as a
"B" move character actor/writer, Kina found herself growing
up in the television and film industry, to which she
inevitably fell into. Since 1980 she has worked in the
costume department on numerous commercials, films and
television shows. As a child, she always "made stuff" and at
her mothers insistence was made to spend many hours
scrubbing the walls that she seemed to be constantly drawing
on. She began to teach her self to paint in 1992 and started
working with clay in 2002.
