Robert Beebe was born in Banks, Oregon in 1931. He spent three years in the Army in Germany, restored old houses and taught German for twelve years before returning to the United States. In 1959 he started drawing and painting as much as he could. Around 1988 he started doing his art full time. He favors mysterious animals, people, creatures, and landscapes. He was included in the exhibition "Outsider Art: An Exploration of Chicago Collections" at The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art in 1996.
