TERESA ARBOGAST

Teresa Arbogast was born and raised on a farm in Southern Iowa. She has always enjoyed drawing and painting during her school years. She graduated in 1976 and did not pick up a paint brush until she broke her right arm and elbow. (She now has a plate and six pins in her arm and elbow). While Teresa was laid up, she began painting left handed and did a pretty good job. When her cast was taken off, she put her right arm to work. Her doctor said this would be great therapy. A friend was visiting and saw a painting she had just finished and wondered where she purchased it. Her friend was amazed that Teresa was the artist! With encouragement from her friend she began selling her paintings and the response has been bigger than she could have imagined. Teresa feels that the Lord works in mysterious ways. Her right arm and elbow will never be the same, but if this unfortunate accident had not occurred, she probably would never have taken the time to pursue her painting. Teresa hopes that everyone will enjoy looking at her paintings as much as she enjoys creating them.
