TOBIAS ANAYA

Tobias Anaya lived and worked all his life in the beautiful little town of Galisteo, New Mexico. He made small, unpainted sculptures from wood and other found objects. He started making art when his mother, whom he had cared for, died and he was very lonely. His art is in the collection of the National Museum of American Art and the Museum of International Folk Art. Tobias passed away in 1988 at the age of 80.
